How to see every B1G stadium in 1 season. It’s more doable than you think. You’ll even get to see some pretty incredible games in the process.
Week 1
Thursday – North Carolina at Minnesota
Taking full advantage of Thursday and Friday games will be key in this exercise. We have 18 stadiums to get to, but only 14 weeks to do it.
Saturday – UConn at Maryland
With most of the Week 1 games being forgettable, we can knock out Maryland early. Plus, this is a nice northeast vs northeast non-con matchup.
Week 2
Friday – Duke at Northwestern
It may be at a practice field, but Northwestern still counts. Getting this done on a Friday gives us a lot of options for a fantastic week 2 Saturday in the Big Ten.
Saturday – Iowa State at Iowa
Iowa State vs Iowa supposedly has some of the most legendary tailgating in college football, so arrive early in Iowa City. I passed on Texas at Michigan and Colorado at Nebraska. There will be plenty of Michigan later on this list and we also manage to see Nebrasak twice late in the year.
Week 3
Saturday – Alabama at Wisconsin
Wisconsin has multiple massive home games in 2024. Despite the flexibility I had with them, we still managed to pick the biggest one.
Week 4
Saturday – USC at Michigan
USC’s welcome to the Big Ten will have to serve as a consolation prize for missing the Texas game. I’m sure the Big House won’t disappoint.
Week 5
Friday – Washington at Rutgers
This will be far more competitive than many people are expecting. Plus we get another stadium covered on a Friday night.
Saturday – Ohio State at Michigan State
This is the biggest logistical hangup of the entire plan. If this game is early, the 10 hour overnight drive from Piscataway NJ will be a trick. Hopefully this is an afternoon or night kickoff and this plan ages well.
Week 6
Michigan at Washington
National Title Game Rematch. This was automatic.
Week 7
Ohio State at Oregon
You might as well stay in the PNW for a week because I wasn’t going to leave off the biggest game in the B1G of the season.
Week 8
Friday – Oregon at Purdue
Just a fun Friday night game in West Lafayette.
Saturday – Michigan at Illinois
The 100 year and 1 day anniversary of one of the most famous games in Illinois football history (which was also vs Michigan). And it’s only 1.5 hours from our Friday night stop.
Week 9
Saturday – Washington at Indiana
There were a lot of better games this week, but we have to go to Indiana at some point. And unfortunately for us they don’t play on Friday this season, so they were not a double dip candidate.
Week 10
Saturday – UCLA at Nebraska
Nebraska is always sold out and always a good time.
Week 11
Saturday – Washington at Penn State (White Out)
The Penn State game on this adventure was always going to be the White Out. It’s an unparalleled college football experience.
Week 12
Saturday – Nebraska at USC
We saw LA go to Nebraska, and now we bring the Nebraska to LA. There may be more Huskers in the stadium than Trojans for this one.
Week 13
Saturday – USC at UCLA
Another week long west coast trip. Stay in town for a week after the Nebraska game and catch the cross town rivalry the following Saturday.
13 Weeks of football ending with the Rose Bowl. A perfect season in the B1G.
Wait. 17 Big 10 stadiums in 13 weeks. It appears I missed a team, and we still have another week. The Big Ten was never good with numbers. Hopefully there’s a good game there in week 14.
Week 14
(Bonus) – Black Friday at 11:00 AM
The Ax Game – Minnesota at Wisconsin.
Catch the most played FBS rivalry, held every year since 1907 and 133 total times since its inception in 1890.
Then, make the drive to Columbus for the finale.
Saturday – Michigan at Ohio State
This epic trip around the B1G ends with The Game. There was no other way to do it.

I enjoyed the article. My top 3 games would be Wisconsin vs Alabama, Washington vs Penn State (whiteout), and Ohio St vs Michigan.
