Just Picks, no more, no less

I didn’t have the time or energy to do a preview piece this week. That’s on me. But, I do still want to put out game picks for the week to be consistent on that front. This is a super short article that is really more of a list than an article. Obviously, the big game of the week is Michigan at Penn State, but there are some good matchups in the SEC and Pac-12 as well.

Spread Picks*:

3-4 last week, not good, but not terrible. I’m picking mostly big games (because I didn’t preview them), but I wouldn’t make a pick without a strong opinion of the game. Below are my week 11 picks against the spread for today’s games. 

Michigan at Penn State (+5.5) – Upset Pick 
Drew Allar has been leagues better at home compared to on the road. There’s too much noise around Michigan right now. Harbaugh’s squad slips up. 

Alabama at Kentucky (+11.5) 
Alabama has been bad on the road for 3 years. I think they win, but it’s a struggle win.

Maryland at Nebraska (+2.5) 
Nebraska just lost to a terrible Michigan State team. But Maryland has lost 4 games in a row. Also, I think the game being in Nebraska is huge for Matt Rhule and Co. Corn Man gets the win.

Oklahoma State (-2.5) at UCF – Favorite Pick
This line makes no sense to me. Oklahoma State is really really good. UCF, not so much.

Ole Miss (-10.5) at Georgia
I think both big dogs in the SEC are tested this weekend. 10.5 is a big spread vs. an Ole Miss team that can score in an instant. 

Utah at Washington (-8.5)
Washington has been struggle winning the last 3 weeks. But I still think they are the better team than Utah, and it’s at Husky Stadium. Washington wins by 10 in a get-right game.

UConn at JMU (-24.5)
All aboard the JMU wagon.

USC at Oregon (-15.5)
USC is regressing; Oregon is surging. Lincoln gets embarrassed and pundits suggest Caleb should sit out the rest of the season to prepare for the NFL. 

How I’ve Done so far this Season:

Upset Picks must be +3 or greater to be “Upsets”

Favorite Picks: 6-5 (Nebraska got screwed by the refs last week)
Upset Picks: 4-9 (I got 1 upset, and I was so close on the 2nd)
Total Record ATS: 40-38-1 (3-4 last week. Not good)
